I was laying in a dark room that felt like my room and was scrolling on my phone. my friend Garrett came in wearing a white t shirt and black jeans telling me to come outside to watch the fireworks. I told him that my mom said I needed to stay inside. He responded with that was weird because it was my mom who told him to go get him. I told him okay let me get dressed and then he left. I changed into some regular clothes and went outside. I see my mom and I sat right next to her. There was a huge crowed of people and a stage to my left with spotlights and a stage in front of me and a white house that was well lit on the inside. my mom was also to the right of me but people were surrounding us and the space between us and the stages and house. all the people were talking to eachother laughing and just having a great time. I felt happy that my mom wanted me outside with her for this. I look to my left and the spotlights were moving like it was getting ready for a show. my mom then noticed I was there and she angrily and worriedly asked me why I was here becuase she told me to stay inside so why was i outside. I told her that Garrett said you told him to bring me outside. she said she did not do that and I needed to go inside imediatly. Then someone tapped on my moms shoulder and told her that it is time. I wanted to ask time for what but before I could she told me that it was to late for me to go inside that I needed to promise her that when people start screaming and running that I needed to stay calm and not get out of the chair and whatever I did to not look at the sky. I then looked at my chair and realized it was a maroon fold up chair and I looked back at my mom and she demanded I promise her so I promised her. She started to walk towards the house and as she did I noticed that all the people between her and the house started to part forming a path for her and they watched her walk into the house like I did. once she entered everyone started talking to eachother and laughing again and then the fireworks started to go off and was lighting up the sky. I knew I wasnt supposed to look up at the sky but I noticed everyone else was and they were in awe. I didnt understand why my mom didnt want me to look so I started to look at the sky. The fireworks were beautiful but I only got to see a couple before I heard a loud battle horn and then the semi cloudy night sky started to peel away like it was burning away and coming through was a clear sky and you could see all the stars. then an elk appeared walking away in the hole in the sky but It was a dotted outline of an elk. then a fire phenox came out of the elk darting upwards turned around and dove into the elk attacking it and killing it. I stopped looking at the sky imediatly and started to get scared but all the people were still watching. Then I heard another battle horn and everyone started screaming and running as the earth started to shake. the stages collapsed and people started falling though the earth. I was wanted to join everyone in running away and I so badly wanted to scream but I remembered my mom told me to stay calm and stay in the chair. So I stayed in my chair but got into a sitting fetal position and I tried to to block out the screams and terror of all the people
This dream is rich in imagery and contains a blend of emotions, fears, and symbolic elements that can provide insight into your subconscious thoughts and feelings. Here are some interpretations of various components of the dream:
Dark Room and Phone: Starting in a dark room could symbolize feelings of isolation or uncertainty about your current situation. Scrolling on your phone might represent a desire to escape reality or seek distraction, reflecting how technology can often serve as a barrier to genuine experience or connection.
Friend Garrett and Fireworks: Garrett calling you outside to see fireworks could symbolize an invitation to engage with the outside world or to experience joy and celebration. Fireworks typically represent excitement and beauty, suggesting that you are yearning for fun and enjoyment in your life.
Conflict with Your Mom: Your mother telling you to stay inside yet instructing Garrett to bring you out points to feelings of confusion about authority and guidance. This could reflect real-life dynamics with parental figures, where there are mixed messages or pressures to conform to expectations versus the desire for freedom.
Crowd and Stages: The crowded space with people laughing indicates a longing for social connection. However, the staged environment could symbolize performance and scrutiny, perhaps reflecting feelings of vulnerability and a fear of judgment when seeking to join in with others.
Promise to Stay Calm: Your mother’s insistence that you remain calm and not look at the sky may point to a deeper concern about facing reality or dealing with chaotic situations. It suggests a protective instinct—either from your mother or your inner self—indicating that there are things you might not be ready to confront.
Fireworks Turning Dark: The transformation from beautiful fireworks to ominous events (the elk and the phoenix) reveals a shift from joy to fear, signifying internal conflicts or anxiety about change. The elk being attacked might symbolize the loss of something innocent or integral to your identity.
Earthquake and Chaos: The chaos that follows—screaming, running, collapsing stages—reflects feelings of anxiety, uncertainty, or fear of losing control in waking life. Your struggle to stay calm amidst the turmoil suggests an internal battle between your desire to escape and your wish to conform to expectations (such as your mother's instruction).
Fetal Position: Your choice to curl into a fetal position signifies a regression to a more vulnerable state, possibly indicating a need for self-protection when faced with overwhelming situations. This reflects a desire for safety, comfort, or even nurturing during times of distress.
Overall, this dream may indicate a struggle between a desire for freedom and joy, and feelings of anxiety or fear surrounding authority and expectations. It might be beneficial to reflect on your current emotional state, relationships, and any underlying anxieties you may have in your waking life. Consider exploring these themes further—whether through journaling, talking to someone you trust, or engaging in creative outlets—to gain clarity and find ways to navigate your feelings.
